Birthday Party

Karla and I spent last week in Atlanta visiting our daughter and granddaughter. It was Addie’s fourth birthday so Rebecca gave her a fairy themed birthday party. This was the tent with some of the flying fairies that Rebecca made for the party. Addie was pretty excited when 30 people attended her party.

Rebecca made a rule that Addie had to wait until she was four to chew gum. This was one of her first pieces of gum so notice the excitement on her face.

Going out to catch a chicken

Right after we got done eating Addie wanted to go home and catch a chicken. They have three chickens that are being raised for the eggs. Addie was going to hold one for the photo but changed her mind when the chicken started flapping its wings.

Addie still loves being outside and each night after dark she would ask me to take her outside to look for toads.

It rained so it was a great time to be there as most of the animals were moving around and very few people braved the remnants of tropical storm Lee. Addie loved watching the various animals.

We took her out for dinner the night of her birthday. She is usually willing to give lots of hugs.

Tropical Storm Lee

We got above the clouds of tropical storm Lee on our flight home. We made excellent time as we caught a hundred mile per hour tail wind for half way across the country.
