May Flower Full Moon 001

May’s full moon is called the “Flower Moon” due to the abundant blooming that occurs as spring gets underway. Not much blooming is occurring this year yet due to the cold spring. This month’s moon was especially big because it was also a “Super Moon” meaning that it was closer to earth than most months.

The moon beam made beautiful reflections in the harbor.

Farm Field

On the way home I went by our neighbor’s field where they have a memorial to their grandfather. When I saw the full moon behind the tractor I had to stop for a photo.

Later that night was the lunar eclipse. I didn’t watch the whole eclipse since clouds moved in but it was a beautiful scene.
