Rainbow

Most storms end with a rainbow. I was coming back from Devil Track Lake this week when this rainbow appeared.

Split Rock Lighthouse 001

Summer is when we get the beautiful white clouds moving out over Lake Superior. This week we have had some beautiful clouds. I took a drive down the shore. This view is from the Cart-in Campground in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

After a nice summer rain the small pools below Split Rock Lighthouse fill with water and make for nice reflections. If the pools are to low sometimes I just take a bucket down with me and fill them with water from the lake.

Tettegouche State Park

Palisade Head in Tettegouche State Park offers some great views of the Lake Superior Shoreline. Shovel Point can be seen in the distance.

Views from the bridge over the Beaver River is always nice in the summer.

One calm day this week I drove up to Devil Track Lake to photograph summer reflections. I wasn't disappointed.

Canoeing into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This picture was taken a few years ago but always brings back memories of fun times in the BWCAW.

Whitetail Fawn 001

Traveling back from photographing grouse I came across a doe with her newborn fawn. The fawn went one way and the doe the other.
