The Nao Santa Maria Trinidad took shelter in the Grand Marais Harbor on Tuesday after running into fog and storms. The ship was on its way to Two Harbors for the Festival of Sail Lake Superior over the weekend.

It stayed the entire day giving many people a chance to walk out on the break wall and see the tall ship close up.

As evening came it prepared to finish its journey to Two Harbors.

Boating by the retired coast guard cutter the huge rubber duck came into view. The festival brought a lot of visitors to the North Shore.
