Spring Showers 001

Spring showers were moving over Lake Superior as I was heading back home from an appointment in Duluth. After driving through rain, I pulled down to the shoreline in anticipation of a possible rainbow when the sun came back out. Just as I got to the parking lot I wasn’t to be disappointed. One of the brightest rainbows I have seen in some time made its appearance.

Rainbows always put a smile on my face when I think about the fact that no two people see the same rainbow. The light that you see bouncing off raindrops is bouncing off other raindrops for someone else at a completely different angle. Even if they are standing right next to you. Each rainbow that you see is personally for you.

I read somewhere that rainbows are made up of more than 1 million colors. Including colors that the human eye cannot see. I will need to research this some more.
