Lake Superior was pretty wild again this week. This photo was taken towards the sun so it doesn’t have a lot of color but sure shows the power of the lake. What looks like a flying piece of ice in the center of the photo is on top of the rocks. It is slowly being washed away by the waves.

After sunset the sky developed a beautiful pink. I am thankful for the clear days this week.

I got up early the next morning to take sunrise photos. I know I photograph the lighthouse often but the scene is so photogenic.

Lots of ice bollards along the shoreline by Grand Marais. They won’t be around for long with the warm temperatures we are currently experiencing.
