We still have huge patches of snow on the ground. Hopefully it will melt this week. The red fox returned on three separate days looking for mice.

I didn’t see him catch any but he or she sure was alert for sounds under the snow.

The fox noticed me in the window and headed out across our pond which was still frozen except for a few feet along the shoreline. Two mallards were in the open water and it tried to get as close as it could but they noticed the fox coming and flew.
