Bayfield Apples

Karla and I took a short road trip to Michigan to see the fall colors and visit Bond Falls State Park. Our first stop was in Bayfield to pick apples.

We drove several back roads In Michigan but the most colorful was on the Black River Scenic Byway.

There were several beautiful hemlock old growth forests along the Black River Scenic Byway.

Bond Falls 001

Our main destination was Bond Falls State Park. Bond Falls is located in a beautiful stretch of the Ontonagon River.

The water is so clear it makes a beautiful motion blur photo using a long exposure.

The lower part of the falls drops about 40 feet before continuing on its path to Lake Superior.
