Jay Cooke State Park
We took two of our granddaughters to Jay Cooke State Park for a wildflower hike.
They loved walking across the swinging bridge even though they were a little nervous.
The Large-Flowered Trillium were out in abundance. We tried to find yellow lady's-slippers but they haven't bloomed yet. Everything is late this year.
Marsh Marigold 001
The marsh marigolds were still flowering.
Marsh Marigold 002
Normally they would be done blooming by now.
Marsh Marigold 003
This group looked so beautiful in the shadows.
The kids were also impressed with the old growth white pine.
