Kayaking

One of the enjoyable things in life is taking your kids or grandkids outdoors during the week of Father’s Day. Karla and I got to go camping with one of our granddaughters. Addie learned how to kayak. The new leaves were a bright green which was beautiful.

In the evening we went fishing. Addie was pretty excited to catch several large panfish along with her limit of bass. We only kept enough for a good meal. She said it was the best part of her day.

While kayaking we looked for the loon nest but found out that something got the eggs. One was in the water broken and the other one gone.

We stopped at Jay Cooke State Park to see the yellow lady’s-slippers on our way home.

When we stopped the sun was at the right angle for a beautiful shadow to appear on the leaf below. This one was my favorite photo of the day.
