Gray Fox 001
Years ago, it was pretty rare to see a gray fox on the North Shore.

Duluth was pretty much the extent of their northern range. Now it seems they have moved further north and can be seen all the way to Grand Marais.

We have three of them that feed on the sunflower seeds that drop from our bird feeder.

We can pretty much count on them to be under the feeders each night.

We enjoy watching them chase each other around and climb on the stumps in our flower bed.

Gray fox can climb trees almost like a cat.

We also have three deer that feed on the sunflower seeds and sometimes they interact with the fox. They stomp their feet at the fox and the fox will run around the deer. It is quite comical to watch.
