A friend of mine mentioned that he had a bobcat family that occasionally came around his house stealing the suet that was put out for the birds. I decided to drive up the Gunflint to see if I could see them. When I arrived the mom was just coming out of the woods.

They are such beautiful animals.

After spotting me she was wondering if she should head back into the woods, which she did.

She returned on a different trail accompanied by a kitten.

Notice the right ear of the kitten. Something must have almost got it. The top part of the ear is bitten off. You can see the white fur sticking up.

Soon a second kitten came down the trail.

Mom seemed a little nervous and took both kittens back into the spruce.
