Upper Gooseberry Falls

Rainstorms brought the rivers up which make for good waterfall watching. We stopped at Gooseberry Falls State Park and the Upper Falls was pretty impressive.

A long exposure of the Middle Falls gives motion blur to the water.

Lower Gooseberry Falls

An island divides the Lower Falls. The water runs on both sides of this white cedar and over the years the roots have been exposed.

Sumac 001

The leaves are starting to turn. I think the peak will be early this year and with plenty of moisture the colors should be vibrant. The Sumac is the first to turn.
