Red Fox Kits 001

I went to check the fox den that I have been photographing for several years. They used it again this year. Usually fox will rotate dens from year to year but this particular red fox has been raising a family of kits in this den for over five years. First one came out.

Than there were three.

Finally five red fox kits exited the den and sat there looking at me. This is the most that she has had over the years.

Red fox are so cute. I watched them play for about an hour before they went back into the den to take a nap.

Grand Marais Moonrise

The week ended with a beautiful moonrise over the Grand Marais Harbor. There were three people that put up hammocks under the light station to watch the moon come up.
