Back at our daughters in Georgia this week I photographed birds with our granddaughter.

There was one pair of cardinals that must be nesting in her backyard, as they would come and go quite often.

We got some great photos of the male who was a beautiful bright red. I taught Addie how to take photos with the background out of focus to make the bird stand out.

The male was quite cooperative and puffed up his top notch just about every time he came to the feeder.

Soon the birds weren’t coming in fast enough and Addie told me “Come on Poppy, let’s go swing on the tree swing”. “All we are doing now is staring at a stick”. So that is what we did.
