This week we had a great moonrise over the Grand Marais harbor. The night of the full moon was cloudy so couldn't see the moon. These two photos were taken the day before the full moon.

Clouds and waves breaking on the shoreline enhanced the beauty of the evening.

We also had a great sunrise over Split Rock Lighthouse.

It is kind of a mystery why the water is displaying a deeper blue along the horizon. I think it is due to higher waves further out on the lake.
