After spending three weeks with us we took our granddaughter to the airport to head back home to Atlanta. Just before she left we spent a day exploring Gooseberry Falls State Park.
With all the rain this year it has been great for wildflowers. The blue flags are plentiful and some of the best that I have seen on the North Shore. This wet meadow up the Gunflint Trail is covered with blue flags.
I like to look close when viewing wildflowers because you can always find different critters that like to eat the insects that are attracted to the flowers. This blue flag has the adult female White Crab Spider on its petal.
