We are heading to Georgia to spend time with family and along the way stopping to check out the fall colors. We stayed in Ashland, WI the first night, which was an awesome night for northern lights.

The red and yellow reflected in the water is coming from the colored leaves on the trees on the other side of the river.

The colors were at peak on the Keweenaw Peninsula. There were at least 30 miles of road that looked just like this.

Copper Harbor Old Growth Pine
We took a different road down the Keweenaw and drove past a grove of old growth white pine. This fiery red maple really stood out from the pines.
