Kekabeka Falls 001
Karla and I drove to one of the strawberry farms in Thunder Bay but discovered they were closed. The fields had been picked clean by an over abundance of pickers the previous day. They closed for a couple of days for more berries to ripen. We then decided to visit Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park.

Kakabeka Falls is located on the Kaministiquia River just west of Thunder Bay.

It is the second highest falls in Ontario.

Only Niagara Falls is higher.

It is sometimes called the “Niagara of the North”.

With all the rain that we have had the waterfalls are pretty impressive. The falls were the best that I have seen them. The clouds and blue sky made a great backdrop for photos. It couldn’t have been a nicer day.

When we arrived at home our resident fawns showed up.

When I looked closely at the photos I felt sorry for the little guys. Their ears and eyes were swollen from bug bites.

The doe came and began licking the bugs away from their ears and around their eyes.
