Gray Tree Frog 001
Back at home we opened the windows to cool the house. Soon we noticed a gray tree frog crawling up the window. It is amazing how they can climb with their sticky little toes. I opened the window wider and the frog dropped into our flowerbed. It stayed around long enough for me get some photos.
Minnesota State Fair Crowd
Karla and I decided to go camping this weekend and put in one quick day at the state fair. Who would have guested that the day we picked was the day that broke all records for state fair attendance. We were two of the 236,197 people that walked the streets, ate fair food and took in the sights and sounds of the fair.
Split Rock Reflections 001
While passing Split Rock Lighthouse State Park I remembered that I wanted to get some photos of the pools below the lighthouse. It rained this week filling the small pools below the light with fresh water. Since the winds were calm I knew that if I put the camera right on the rocks along side the pools that the lighthouse would be reflected making an awesome photo.

One of the last times that I tried this I was lying by the pool looking through the viewfinder of the camera. Since there was a light breeze it took several minutes for the pool of water to calm down. I glanced up at the lighthouse and noticed a crowd was forming and they were all looking down in my direction. It occurred to me that since I had been lying so still for several minutes they probably thought I was hurt. All of a sudden a young boy came quickly down the trail and saw me move and said, “Oh, you’re ok, everyone up there thinks you have had a heart attack. My mom sent me down here to check it out.” Now I move around a little more when I am taking those photos.
