Blue flags are one of my favorite wildflowers. This year the weather must have been favorable for them as we have hundreds around our pond.

Polyphemus Moth

We are still seeing many moths each morning. Friday morning along with five Luna moths we had several polyphemus moths. They have what looks like a huge eye on each hind wing. This is supposed to protect them from predators.

Water Lilies

Karla and I were out kayaking this weekend and came across this patch of water lilies. They were so thick and evenly spaced they looked like hundreds of balloons floating on the water.
