The owl irruption continues. Now is the time, if you haven’t got a chance to drive the shore and see some of these owls. This week I found this saw-whet owl in Two Harbors.
For the past two weeks we have had plenty of snow on the ground for winter activities. Earlier this week, strong northwest winds caused some of the frenzied snow to pile up on the ridge tops.
I was out snowshoeing today and found some drifts as high as 15 feet. A lot of the bluffs overlooking Lake Superior have huge sculptured drifts that are fun to snowshoe.
