Lower Gooseberry Falls

The snow continues to impress this year. It has snowed nearly every day this week making the North Shore a winter wonderland. Karla and I spent some time at Gooseberry Falls State Park this last Tuesday. It was a beautiful day and the fresh snow made the waterfalls look gorgeous.

Pine Marten

The deeper snow brings out the wildlife. At home, a cute little pine marten pays us a visit every so often. Pine Marten are so fast and constantly in motion that getting good photos is a challenging task. I was fortunate to catch this one standing up looking over the snowdrift as he paused to survey my camera.
