Mourning Dove

Addie and I found a mourning dove nest along the hedge row. Addie thought that was pretty cool.

Red Top Mountain State Park 001

We spent the last couple of weeks in Georgia visiting our daughter and family. Our granddaughter, Addie, loves the outdoors so the first weekend we camped at Red Top Mountain State Park. We were fortunate enough to have the best campsite in the park. Our campsite was on a point on Allatoona Lake and we didn’t have any other campsites nearby.

The lake was a lot like the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and a great spot for sunsets.

Spring in Minnesota 001

We should have stayed longer in Georgia. Upon returning I expected to find the wood ducks in our pond but spring is arriving very slowly this year.

Instead we found three feet of snow from four snowstorms.

The snow is pretty but it is time for spring. This is one of our local restaurants along the Gunflint Trail where they received two feet of snow in one storm this week.
