Last week Karla and I went to Minneapolis to speak at the Encampment Forest Association’s annual banquet. I presented a Power Point program, The Seasons of the North Shore, while telling the stories of how I got the photos. I always appreciate the opportunity to share photos of the many wonders and beauty of nature. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in downtown Minneapolis which gave us a beautiful nighttime cityscape.Ft. Snelling State Park Buck
The next day we drove to Ft. Snelling State Park. We saw this whitetail buck close to the picnic area. He was in hot pursuit of a doe and didn’t seem to be concerned about me following him around. I watched where the doe went and then circled in front of the buck and waited for him to follow the same route. In about fifteen minutes he stepped out into some dried flowers and gave me a great opportunity to snap a few photos.
