Northern Lights 001
The North Shore experienced some spectacular northern lights this week. Wednesday sunspot AR 1429 exploded and hurled a coronal mass ejection of charged particles towards earth. Late Thursday night when those charged particles collided with the earth’s atmosphere the show was on.
We first saw the green pulsating aurora about 11:30 PM. The sky just lit up behind the warm glow of the canvas tent. It gives you a feeling of wilderness even though this tent was set up on the pond in our backyard.
