Read MoreOld Trucks
We had a few other areas we were planning to visit but a short trip to the Tallahassee ER kind of cut that short. I thought at 62 you wouldn’t have to worry about appendicitis. Tallahassee’s ER room has 65 waiting rooms and they were full. One patient came in with a gunshot wound that caused the hospital to go into lock down with police everywhere. It took about 6 hours to get through the ER procedures and into the hospital for surgery. I am glad it happened where we had friends so that Karla and Addie were well taken care of.
A few missing body parts later and we were back on the road. Most of the time I like to take the back roads when traveling. That is when you can experience unique and interesting things like these old trucks near Crawfordville, Florida. Addie seemed to be as interested as I was.St George Island
We just got back from spending two weeks in Georgia and Florida taking care of our granddaughter. Our daughter took several students to Spain and France and left us in charge back home. It was pretty awesome to spend that much time with our granddaughter.
Most of the time was spent outside of Atlanta but we also took Addie to the Florida coastline. Our first stop was the beach at St. George Island located in the Florida’s panhandle. The western end of St. George Island is developed with houses right up to the beach front.
