Cason J. Callaway backing out of ore docks

Karla and I camped in Two Harbors for two nights this week. I spent most of one day photographing the arrival and departure of several ore boats. It was so nice to sit by the lake during that heat wave. When the temperature was pushing 90 degrees away from the lake it was 75 by the harbor. The cold water of Lake Superior can definitely act like an air conditioner.

I took both of these photos of the Cason J. Callaway from the top of the Two Harbors Lighthouse looking through the round porthole window.

Edna G. Steam Powered Tug Boat 001

If you get a chance to tour the Edna G. steam powered tug boat which is docked in the Agate Bay harbor I would highly recommend it.

She was designated a National Historic Site in 1974.

Egna G. Moonrise

The last evening we camped was the night of the full moon. It was fun to watch it come up behind the Two Harbors Light Station and in front of the Edna G.
