The red fox kits start to come out of their dens at this time of year. They are so cute when they start exploring their huge new world. There is something to check out around every corner or blade of grass. This spring, I have been monitoring several dens along the north shore.

I set up my blind near one of them and wasn’t in the blind more than five minutes when this little guy popped out of the den to see what mischief he could get into. When he first looked at me through the tall grass I just had to laugh. He dashed back into the den several times not sure why this huge camouflaged round ball was near his home.
