Our daughter and granddaughter were up this week so we took a short camping trip to Moose Lake State Park. Echo Lake--located within the park--is a great lake to fish, swim and just enjoy being outside.

We had two days of clear weather with a beautiful full moon to add to the excitement of being outdoors. Both the moon rise in the evening and the setting moon in the morning were reflected in the calm waters of Echo Lake.

Our granddaughter had never been fishing before and was quite happy with her first fish. Several of the state parks have kids fishing kits to loan out making it easy for kids who have never fished before to enjoy the experience. Adeline was one of those taking advantage of the program and it certainly put a smile on her face.
