Gooseberry River Hiking Bridge
Ruby and Kate are pretty lucky to have parents that place a high value on the outdoors. They take every available opportunity to let their kids enjoy the beautiful scenery along the North Shore.
This week they came out to Gooseberry to explore some of the caves along the Gooseberry River. In winter water seeping through cracks in the rock produce ice of many shapes and sizes. This dome of ice gets bigger each week.
Inside the caves are rocks of many different colors. This cave had a small flow of water creating beautiful reflections.
The warm water flowing through the cave produced beautiful frost that was very fragile. Ruby didn’t want to knock any of it down and take away from the beauty of the entrance.
Ice Cave 002
Kate found some really neat icicles in this cave.
Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe
Their family also took in the candlelight ski and snowshoe in the evening. It was a very magical night that several families will remember for some time.
