American Integrity 001

We love watching the ore boats. With the cold temperatures and high winds at this time of year, the spray coats the front of the boats with icicles. Many of the icicles actually run horizontally due to the speed of the boats and the force of the wind.

The timing couldn’t have been better when we arrived in at Two Harbors yesterday. The American Integrity was just arriving with lots of ice on the bow.

I can’t imagine how cold it must be for the crew working on the boat. If you look closely at the guy in the hard hat you can see that it is actually Santa. Apparently he had trouble with his reindeer this year and had to hitch a ride across the big lake.
