Moonrise Over Agate Bay

The last five days were an absolutely beautiful week of summer weather. Four days in a row Lake Superior was like glass plus it was also full moon week. I photographed the moon rise over Two Harbors’ Agate Bay. With the reflections of the lighthouse and the Edna G it was a magical evening.

Grand Marais Light

The next night I was in Grand Marais as the moon rose next to the Grand Marais Light. Many people were out enjoying the moonrise. Even some kayakers had to stop and photograph the moon.

It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening. I think the statement of a young girl as she walked by with her mom said it all, “I can’t believe my eyes. This is so beautiful”.
