Last week the sea arch located within Tettegouche State Park collapsed. This arch withstood many Lake Superior storms over the years but it wasn’t high waves that destroyed it. The cracked, weakened rock just gave way. Luckily no one was kayaking beneath it at the time. Some friends and I went to look at it this week.Mom said not to get wet
We spent a couple hours down on the beach enjoying the summer day. Soon the kids found this great little natural water park. The low swells would hit a small cave in the rock and explode spraying water into the air. After finding this spot the kids forgot all about the arch. The last thing Jessie’s mom told her was not to get wet. I don’t think they will let me watch her anymore. The temperature was in the 80’s so the forty degree water didn’t bother the girls. It was a great way to spend a summer afternoon.
