Gooseberry Sunrise

With leafless trees and brown grasses November is often referred to as the “brown” month. However, fabulous color can be found at sunrise when the sun illuminates the bottom of the storm clouds. Last week I took this photo just off the mouth of the Gooseberry River.

Agate Bay Two Harbors 001

I was also able to photograph two sunsets this week. On Tuesday the Mesabi Miner ore boat came into Two Harbors.

The next evening several gulls were eating mountain ash berries in Agate Bay just at sunset. I was able to capture a few as they flew by the setting sun.
