There was a large dumping of snow on the North Shore last week. Lots of wind coming off of Lake Superior created "lake effect" snow. I think I plowed or shoveled for seven days straight. The local news network even named the storms they were coming so often.
With the snow hanging from the conifers it created a peaceful scene. All that beautiful snow created excellent ski and snowshoe conditions for Christmas Day.
Our son, Adam, and I skied for a couple hours on Christmas Day. Along with the beautiful scenery, we saw tracks from pine martin, snowshoe hare, fox and deer.
