Addie got to see lots more wildlife before she returned to Atlanta. We left the light on in our porch to see how many different moths would show up. In the morning Addie would run out to see what was there. Each morning we saw the beautiful Luna moth which is one of the largest moths that we have in Minnesota. One morning there were 6 of them hanging along the deck. We would move them over to the garden before the birds ate them. Addie didn’t want to touch them at first thinking they might bite. I told her that they don’t even have mouths. They don’t eat. Luna moths survive for only about 5 days and live on the food already stored in their bodies.
