Lower Gooseberry Falls 2
This morning I awoke at 6:00 a.m. so I could photograph the falls in low light. The thermometer read 4 degrees and at that temperature it would have been a lot easier to roll over and go back to sleep, but I got up and headed down to the Lower Falls. After setting up the camera I looked and there was a mink working his way along the ice. He saw me and headed behind the falls. I waited for him to reappear but he never did. He must have found a hole behind the falls to get back into the river. You can see his head in the lower right side of this photo at the base of the falls.
